Job Description

• Responsible for preparing bread loves, rolls, buns cakes, cookies, pasty and deserts as per the agreed menus; ;
• Able to check the quality of raw materials and weighing ingredients for deserts and dishes; ;
• Ensuring the quality and consistency of food and deserts; ;
• Efficient in kneading, maturing, cutting, moulding, mixing and shaping dough and pastry goods and pastry fillings; ;
• Able to monitor oven temperatures and product appearance to determine baking times; ;
• Able to assist and work with head chef and other kitchen staff when required; ;
• To compliance with occupational health and safety regulation, should be efficient in checking the cleanliness of equipment’s and operation of premises before the production runs; ;
• Able to manage the forming, loading, baking, unloading, de-panning and cooling of batches of bread, rolls and pastry products; ;
• Able to prepare glazing buns and pastries, and decorating cakes with cream and icing; ;
• Able to limit food wastage and achieving set food costs; ;
• Able to order supplies for desert menus items as per the agreed budget; ;
• Efficient in operating machines which roll and mould dough and cut biscuits; ;
• Able to prepare pies, tarts, muffins and sausages and emptying, greasing and cleaning baking trays, tins and other cooking equipment’s; ;
• Able to supervise and train the apprentice staff in the kitchen. ;
